The Getaway Outdoors family began in the Balcatta store in 1991, with Carrole dedicating 30 years to the company and its customers. After spending half her life "getting amongst it" as an employee of the store she decided to take the leap and buy the store in 2003.

The Getaway team at Balcatta are a diverse bunch, where their diversity in knowledge and skills enables them to give their customers the information, service and products they need for an enjoyable GETAWAY. Staff are experienced in camping, hiking, travel, kayaking, fishing, boating and 4wding.

Their fishing staff are exceptional led by Rob, a keen fisherman himself, they are always willing to share tips and advice with their customers. They have staff members trained in dealing with Hobie Kayaks, a kayaking phenomenon that you need to GET AMONGST, it is exclusive to Getaway Outdoors in WA. Any queries with Hobie, Roy is your man!

The Balcatta store has undergone many facelifts since opening to become one of the largest stores in the group being a 2000sqm showroom with a huge amount of quality products, top brand names across all categories for their customers to choose from. Come down, have a look and experience the high level of customer service, the regular customers receive and new customers they look forward to meeting.
