Getaway Outdoors began in 1991 at the Balcatta location on Wanneroo Road in Perth, Australia. For over 30 years, we have devoted ourselves to serving the community with our expertise in camping, hiking, fishing, boating, kayaking, 4X4, and travel gear. From the beginning, our mission has been to give our customers everything they could possibly need to enjoy better getaways.

In 2003, longtime employee Carrole bought the store. Thanks to her strong relationships with industry leading brands like Coleman, Garmin, OzTent, Hobie Kayaks, 360 Degrees and Camelbak, along with her team's specialist knowledge of all matter of products for the great outdoors, it's no surprise that she has been successfully running the Balcatta store ever since.

The team at Getaway Outdoors Balcatta are a diverse bunch; with an array of interests and skills that stretch as far as the endless horizon. It's part of what makes us so capable of helping people set off on their adventures.

Their fishing staff are exceptional - they're always willing to share their wealth of tips, tricks and advice. The team is led by Rob - a keen fisherman in his own right, with a love for helping others appreciate the joys of his passion in life.
