Competition commences 12:01am WST, Wednesday 1 February 2024 and runs through until 11:59pm WST, Sunday 31 March 2024. Photos must be submitted no later than 5pm WST, Monday 1 April 2024. The competition will be drawn at 10am WST, Friday 5 April 2024. Winners will be announced via Facebook and contacted via phone.

Entry is open to recreational rod & reel fishers of all ages. No commercial and charter boats or spearfishing permitted.

To enter all participants must purchase a 2024 Mahi Mahi Tournament 1.8m Brag Mat (Value $35) from one of the 4 participating stores which will include a name card. An additional $10 will apply per entrant per boat and will include an entry card to participate. All entrants must register at the participating stores at the time of purchase before competing in the Tournament. Only one (x1) Brag mat per boat is required.

The purpose of the competition is to be the person to catch the longest Dolphin Fish (Mahi Mahi). There will be prizes issued for those that catch a mystery fish from other species that can be caught around the FAD's such as Mackerel, Wahoo & Tuna as well as Weekly and additional monthly prizes. There will also be a 6kg Line Class however participants must follow IGFA Rules. More details on the rules around this will follow, however those participating in this class will need to identify this in the email at the time of submitting their photos.

All participants must fish near Fish Aggregation Devices (FADs) located between Rockingham & Jurien inclusive of Rockingham, Rottnest, Northern Perth, Lancelin and Jurien FADs. Mandurah FADs and those beyond Jurien will not be accepted.

The winners will be announced based on the length of their Dolphin Fish. For fish of the same length the prize pool will be split across all participants.

All entrants must take one photo of their Dolphin Fish or mystery fish such as Mackerel, Wahoo & Tuna on the 2024 Mahi Mahi Tournament Brag Mat with their name tag, rod & reel visible in the photo along with a second photo of the GPS Co-Ordinates of the position the fish was caught (for judges verification purposes only - will not be published). For those participating the 6kg Line Class please identify you entry in the email at the time of submitting your photos. Photos must must be submit to the following email: mahitournament24@gmail.com
